Transformative. Cathartic. Relevant. Healing. When I was stuck in shame and addiction I tried self help, therapy, etc….would help for a while and then right back into it. When I had resentment at my family and could not forgive but thought I had….right back into it. Accepted life and their program is the ONLY thing that has given me traction and sustained improvement. I still have work to do, but their program and outlook is hopeful  and empowering, while others support the “white-knuckle” way of doing things. I have been to many many many counselors in my lifetime. This is the best place I’ve been to. They have a unique approach to therapy that is so much more than talking; they have you do activities to process and HEAL. It works! As for their Hawaii Workshop, it works! It is so valuable, I’m actually surprised it doesn’t cost more. They are so accommodating and treat you so well. My experience with Accepted has been phenomenal !! I have a different level of courage to face the unknown and a new trust in myself. The printed materials and experiences offered through groups have helped me see parts of myself worthy of deep healing and change. There are an infinite amount of therapy offices. What accepted offers and can do for an individual wanting positive change is nothing short of spectacular. They have fantastic opportunities for intensive therapy programs, the office staff is wonderful. In and out some of the best people I’ve ever known. Robert Ferrell was an incredible Mentor to me in my late teens and early 20s. At the time I wouldn’t have realized it, but I was in a faith crisis as well as stagnant in my personal growth. He helped me through the process of understanding the feelings of guilt and shame and converting that to faith. He also helped me to better see into myself more clearly and understand what it takes to live a productive and joyful life. Years later, I look back and can’t help but attribute a good portion of my current life to his mentorship. He was the springboard I needed. From the time I started working with him it was an almost immediate leap into a far more productive life. Because of him I chose the right person and  I married very well. I have been happy for 12 years in a very highly productive and incredible marriage. I have been a successful entrepreneur. My faith has deepened Immensely and has been the center of my life and the value that has brought to my life is immeasurable. My wife and I have been blessed with 3 children-  two of them are special-needs. One of them is extraordinarily difficult and we have had many of the professionals that work with him and us comment on our marriage and say that it is very rare that they see a couple that is still together let alone happy and functional when they are raising a child like ours. When I hear those comments, I feel grateful for the faith that is my guiding light, and I feel grateful for the mentors in my life that helped shape me. And while I have had several, I think it is very easy to say that the most influential one has been Robert Ferrell. I think that he has been given a gift to work with people, especially young people and young adults. I have never met anyone that is better at communicating with them and inspiring them. I have worked with Robert Ferrell on a number of occasions and each time I have been so edified and have come to know myself better. He truly looks at you as an individual person with your own unique and individual circumstances, not as a person grouped into a whole label.
