Robert Ferrell

Robert’s journey is one of resilience and inspiration. Overcoming a significant speech impediment as a child, he went on to become a prominent Periodontal Surgeon, President of the humanitarian nonprofit Awaken, Co-Founder of the Ascend Middle/High School, and a professional speaker with over 500 presentations to date.

Fluent in Spanish, Robert has lived in the Dominican Republic and Lima, Peru, serving in both humanitarian and spiritual capacities to help impoverished people improve their lives and become self-sufficient. His extensive church leadership experience, including roles as a YSA bishop, YSA stake president, and mission president, has equipped him with a unique perspective to guide young adults through life’s challenges.

A father of nine, Robert enjoys college football, politics, boxing, snow skiing, and surfing. His passion for helping others is evident in his work, including his popular podcast on Leading Saints and his TED-X talk, “You Don’t Wake Up Fabulous.” A contributing author to LDS Living and Deseret News, Robert’s upcoming book, Liberate the Captive, promises to be a testament to his dedication and insight.
